Bend Chick-fil-A is Open for Business

Hello Bend….We FINALLY have a Bend Chick-fil-A!  Those of you who know me, know how much our family (our daughter especially) missed not having a Chick-fil-A in Bend…and if you’ve lived somewhere that had a Chick-fil-A in the past, you know why.  Known for their customer service, healthy fast-food options and family values, it is a staple to those of us from the South.  Chick-fil-A is the place where play dates come together, moms meet after pre-school pick-up, expectant moms go to satisfy a constant craving (oh wait, was that just me?),  and countless others drive-through when looking for a healthy food option on the go.

If you are not familiar with this fast food chain, let me share with you some of my favorite things that are sure to have you planning a visit to the Bend Chick-fil-A.  First off, the food is amazing!  Yes, I know it is fast food, and as such it could be frowned upon by many in our uber healthy Central Oregon community.  Chick-fil-A is different though.  They are famous for their original chicken sandwich, which is also offered in a grilled version, however my kids are crazy for their chicken nuggets, all of which are made with all white meat chicken breast.

You don’t usually find chicken nuggets of this quality at your typical fast food restaurant!  Not only that, they offer hearty chicken strips as well AND you can even order the chicken nuggets GRILLED!

The Bend Chick-fil-A also offers a variety of wraps and salads, all of which can be customized to your preference.  The Market Salad is my absolute favorite!

The selection of side dishes goes way beyond fries, to include:  fruit cup, side salad, kale crunch side, mac & cheese, chicken noodle soup, chicken tortilla soup, greek yogurt parfait, chips and apple sauce.  Now that’s a selection!

 

Breakfast is served until 10:30am and offers a wide variety of Chick-fil-A specialties, standard breakfast fare, and some solid healthy choices to get your day started off right!  Catering is also available.  Chicken nugget platters were a top food choice at most birthday parties when we lived in Florida and Austin.

Given the popularity of the new Bend Chick-fil-A, the lines have been a bit long.  To save yourself some time, download the app, place your order in advance and swing by to pick it up hot and ready to go!  If you download the app before January 31, you will get a FREE 8-count chicken nuggets…but hurry, as the reward expires on 1/31/2020.

As die-hard Chick-fil-A fanatics, we wanted to be sure to experience the Grand Opening of the Bend Chick-fil-A last week.  There were 253 of us that arrived for their “Red Carpet Rollout”, which gifts the first 100 customers 52 original chicken sandwich meals.  Since more than 100 people showed up for the event, it was luck of the draw.  We were each given a ticket for the drawing to see if we were lucky enough to be selected as one of the first 100 Bend Chick-fil-A customers.  We did…we were lucky #37!

   

Most importantly, to all you Bend Mommas out there, the Bend Chick-fil-A has an indoor playscape with twisty slides to keep your little ones busy.  They do an amazing job keeping it clean, and provide handy wipes at the door to encourage patrons to wipe the germs off little hands before and after playtime.  Every kids meal also comes with a book, instead of a toy.  Their current series is Splat the Cat.  If you are a “regular”, and receive a duplicate title, you can trade the book in for a free ice cream!

     

As many Moms that have lived near a Chick-fil-A already know, this is our happy place!  Any restaurant where the kids eat ALL their food, run off to play/burn off extra energy and leave with a book in hand (or an ice cream cone) and a smile of their face quickly becomes a family favorite.
