Bend Online Shopping During COVID-19

Hello Bend! We’re certainly living in unprecedented times as we “shelter in place” to stop the spread of COVID-19, and “Flatten the Curve” of the pandemic. Because it’s been identified that the main way to stop the virus is to avoid coming into contact with others, it has changed the way restaurants, local shops, and even breweries are bringing their products, food & drink, and services to you! It’s easier than ever to set up a hassle-free, no-contact delivery or pick up. Many local Central Oregon shops have set it up so you can order online and have it delivered straight to your door or pick up at their curb in a designated area. Aside from our current reality, my family always lives a very active and slightly crazy schedule, so ordering online has become a staple in our household and saves me so much time each month! It has been amazing to watch as these businesses have worked tirelessly to evolve and adapt to our community’s needs during this time of collective crisis.

In addition to ordering groceries online, local store owners have gotten creative on ways to get you products!

At the grocery store, I am very particular about what I get, especially when picking out produce. So I was very skeptical about ordering online. At first, I wasn’t sure about what would have happened if they didn’t have the product in stock or if I was going to get products that would expire soon. In 2016, I started using the Fred Meyer Clicklist/PickUp, and it’s been a game changer for our busy lifestyle. I wrote a blog post on it then: you can find it by clicking here! I have looked around at a few others to see what else is out there, and I’ve compiled this list of options for Bend online shopping:
