Virtual Real Estate During COVID-19

Hello Bend! As we look towards the end of the summer, COVID-19 is still a familiar component in our everyday lives! A few months ago, I wrote a blog post (shown below) about how this global pandemic has affected my work in Real Estate.  I’ve adapted my business practices to keep my clients safe, happy, and able to take clear, educated steps towards their Real Estate goals.

Real Estate Update

The Market

The real estate market in Bend is crazy right now!  It seems that everyone living in a large city wants to move out and our “Bend bubble” is at the top of many lists.  If you have been thinking about selling your Central Oregon property, inventory is at an all-time low, and now is the perfect time to maximize your opportunity!

If you’ve been thinking about making a change and relocating to Central Oregon is your goal, now more than ever it is critical to have someone on your side to help you navigate this very busy real estate market.  Many homes are selling within days of hitting the market, often with multiple offers.  I have been on both sides of these types of transactions multiple times over my 20+ year real estate career, and I’ve learned key strategies to help my clients come out on top!

COVID Protocols

As COVID-19 appears to be sticking around for a while, I’ve implemented specific protocols during showings to keep everyone safe, and I’ve also adapted my business to accommodate virtual showings and tours. My goal is for you to view properties or sell your home with confidence during this crazy, unprecedented time. I’ve taken the Central Oregon Association of Realtor’s Pledge, and I place this House Sign in each of my listings, along with other standard protective practices including booties, masks, and hand sanitizer.

While the use of masks has become quite controversial, I wear a mask out of respect for YOU and each of my clients. Masks are mandated by the state of Oregon currently, and I will adhere to these guidelines as determined by the appropriate officials.

Watch the video below and continue reading the original blog post, published on April 30, to learn about how I adapted my business at the beginning of COVID and how it’s still relevant today.  With the stay at home orders lifted, virtual real estate reviews and virtual open houses have been replaced with in-person meetings following COVID protocols, however, I am committed to assisting my clients in whatever capacity they feel comfortable.  I am here to help you keep your relocation plans moving forward and make the transition during this difficult time as smooth and seamless as possible!

Hello Bend!  As our daily lives continue to be impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, I have embraced “virtual real estate” and adapted my business to better serve the needs of my clients.  Real Estate has been deemed an essential business and the housing market here in Central Oregon, although slowed due to the stay at home order, is still strong and properties are being listed and sold each day.  In fact, many are surprised it has not slowed more.  The graph below will show you how our “feeder markets” are beginning to see an increase in real estate activity.

Schedule Your Virtual Real Estate Review

I would like to serve as a resource for you and offer my real estate expertise for anything you need.  I am currently offering and scheduling appointments for “Virtual Real Estate Reviews” for new and existing clients. This will give us an opportunity to discuss your real estate needs in detail from the comfort of wherever you find yourself safe and secure these days.

I continue to preview and show homes…often via FaceTime and Zoom these days.  I am also assisting clients that are local and would prefer to meet in person.  I’ve made a commitment to follow COVID-19 safety guidelines when meeting with clients, to minimize contact and risk.
